MasterMac Honda rookie Eugene McManus bagged his first ever points in the ZYN British Superbike championship - including a superb top ten finish - as the team enjoyed a successful trip to Norfolk over the weekend.
The Belfast rider opened his points tally with a P15 in Saturday’s opening race at Snetterton, before really upping the ante with a brilliant tenth in race two on Sunday.
Meanwhile his teammate and fellow ZYN BSB newcomer Rhys Irwin delivered three impressive performances, showing consistently good pace to take points in every race with P12, P14 and P15 finishes.
It represented a welcome milestone for the duo as they both recorded their best weekends yet in the elite Superbike series.
Their stablemate Dan Brooks had a piece of the action too, as he continued racking up points in the Pirelli National Superstock series with P11 in his only race of the weekend.
Steve Hicken, MasterMac Honda’s team manager, said:
“It was a really good weekend’s work for the team and all three riders can come away from it with a lot of confidence.
“We’re delighted for Eugene to not only take his first ZYN BSB points but also our best result of the season so far.
“He and Rhys were consistently quick and also showed cool heads in navigating big incidents in two of their races, while Dan is proving to be Mr Consistency in the Superstock series and rode well once again.
“It’s a timely opportunity to say well done to all of our crew, who’ve been working hard all season and take a share of the credit for these results.”
MasterMac Honda will be back on the road next week as we head to Brands Hatch for the first time this season. The next round of ZYN BSB takes place at the Kent circuit from 17-19 July.
